Our farm currently markets and sells pasture-raised beef, pork, chicken and brown eggs through farmers markets and soon with an online retail store through our website to consumers with an eye toward restaurants.
Here at Wildcat Ridge Farms, we strive to provide quality, homegrown, livestock products, as well as other alternative food sources as we progress through our journey on our farm located in Shade, Ohio.
Wildcat Ridge Farms is a family owned farm and licensed Ohio meat warehouse that aims to provide top quality meat and alternative produce products to the greater Ohio area. We strive to maintain fair and transparent business practices while supplying our clientele competitively priced products through local vendor events and other venues that will expand the market for all local farmers to grow into.
We married in 2015 and bought this farm in 2016, knowing we wanted to provide quality and safe food products to consumers. As a small farm, we knew we wanted to add aquaponics and saltwater shrimp to our product line as the US is the second largest consumer of seafood. We started growing saltwater shrimp and were within two weeks of harvest in Feb 2021 when an ice storm knocked out power for 40+ hours. Our small portable generator did not hold up, and we lost not only the shrimp, but all of the equipment we had purchased out of pocket.
Our vision is to be able to bring fresh, quality farm products to as many people in the greater Ohio area and beyond as possible. We utilize sustainable growing methods for both our livestock and our produce. We want to meet the needs of our customers while providing an outlet for connection back to the local farmer and revitalize the industry.

We are a small family-owned farm located in SE Ohio with an eye toward the future in raising saltwater shrimp and seafood on our 150-acre farm. We have a combined 50+ years of traditional farming experience, but are always incorporating and applying new, innovative and sustainable farming methods.
