The Veggie Sunflower LLC is our minority and women-owned restaurant and shop. As the chef, I provide vegan, vegetarian, and healthy alternatives to everyday foods to communities that are healthy food barren. I operate The Veggie Sunflower LLC in the Pittsburgh Community within Atlanta, GA, and have an online presence to teach healthy food knowledge.
We are YOU. We are moms of vibrant sons and daughters, aunts, friends, business owners, and educators. We understand the need for healthy alternatives in the community and strive to create those clear pathways to healthy eating. We are creating beautifully, crafted healthy alternatives to everyday foods and would love to teach you to do the same.
I initially started this business as a gourmet snack food business in 2019, but due to Covid, I had to shut down and rethink how I could help our community more. I reopened in the spring of 2021, as The Veggie Sunflower LLC, to help bridge the gap between families and individuals in food barren communities by providing healthy food options and alternatives.
Kiamani’s story
I found out I was type one diabetic when I was fifteen years old. Learning that diagnosis during such a pivotal time in my life was challenging, but it helped me set the foundation for my love of healthy foods and their benefits. Through books and classes, I learned how to create foods that would help me balance my health while teaching me the importance of having healthy alternatives readily available. I have two children that were both born prematurely and required a lot of love and care. My prior knowledge of healthy foods has helped me become the chef they need to become healthy children that can play, learn and grow like everyday children. They are the reason my passion grows daily as they represent all the children and families in neighborhoods that don’t have access to healthy foods and that passion helps me to push past all barriers to provide those alternatives.
