I am a massage therapist in the Cleveland area that focuses on relaxation and over all health. I specialize in Lymphatic Drainage Massage and Post-Surgery Care.
I went straight to massage therapy school right out of high school. It’s always what I wanted to do. My massage teacher was awesome! He taught us how to be effective healers and truly how to help people.
After school, I got a job at a spa that taught me a lot. After that, I transitioned into a chiropractor’s office and then began promoting myself on the side. After two years of promoting Massage by Kamry, I was able to leave the chiropractor and work completely on my own. It’s been two years now that I’ve been my own boss and I love it. I have awesome clients that feel comfortable with me and allow me to assist them in living healthier lives. The part about my business that I am most proud of is that I built my loyal clientele organically with my own two hands. The challenging part is finding good help. As far as to help with marketing, receptionist work, and just building a team in general. My goal for the future is to include a product line of health products to better assist my clientele in their holistic health. Covid-19 has adversely affected my business because traffic has been slow and for 3 months I was forced to shut down due to quarantine and Covid exposures. This Kiva loan will help me get back on my feet financially and assist me in continuing to grow my business to its full potential.
I am the oldest of four siblings in a blended family. All my life I had an awesome example of entrepreneurship from my mother. She owned a home daycare for 20 years that was very successful. My first job was working for the daycare and most of my family helped out. My mother was always loving and caring to her customers but also very professional. My father worked a 9-5 for 30 years and set a wonderful example of being a hard and honest worker. My parents instilled the values of being a good worker and living within our means. They made sure we had fun and rewarded us for good behavior. Now they are both retired and living comfortably. Watching them has motivated me to have what they had.
I have been married for a year and my husband supports my entrepreneurial spirit. My dream is to grow my business to be influential in my community as a pillar of holistic health. Personally, my dream is to have children of my own and give them the life I had. I want me and my family to enjoy a simple and meaningful life. I hope that my business can help me do that!
