Strange Froot is a lifestyle brand established in 2020. The inspiration for the brand comes from a poem by New York City’s Abel Meeropol, a then schoolteacher and social activist. Meerpol was inspired to write the poem called “Strange Fruit” as a reaction to a photo of a lynching that occurred in the 1930’s.
The Strange Froot Brand represents the germination of the seeds of those ‘strange fruits’ of the past. The aim of the brand is to showcase artists and creatives that contribute to popular culture.
Each capsule released is a collaboration and will highlight upcoming contributing creatives on the rise.
