I have a general dentist practice in San Diego, California. I am welcoming new patients. I am doing their exam, dental X-rays, cleanings, treatment planning their needs, then providing those needs. These needs include fillings, extractions, crowns, bridges, dentures, deep cleanings, clear aligners, nightguards.
As an experienced Dentist based in San Diego, my patients appreciate the warmth, professional integrity, and open communication that define my dental practice. I am determined to help my patients understand their own oral health so they can be well informed when making important health decisions.
More people are stressed these days, so I am offering a discount on custom-made nightguards.
I decided to start my own practice during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. I was furloughed and out of work, and the organization I was with could not bring me back for a while for financial reasons. I took the time to look for opportunities that I had considered in the past but did not take.
Her practice philosophy is based on providing excellent care. Dr. Moniz is gentle handed, caring, and thorough in her work. Her focus is in practicing preventive and conservative dentistry. She works to find available options that benefit your oral health. She actively educates and inspires her patients to take an active role in preventive care. No one should have bleeding gums!
I have been practicing as an employee dentist or an associate ever since finishing a General Practice Residency in 2002! Now that my two daughters are teenagers I am motivated, and have more time to fulfill a goal that most dental school graduates have. That is, to own private practice. I started the practice in 2021 using grants in California, my own personal savings, and mentoring/advice from non-profits. As there are many financial incentive and loan programs out there for women start ups to use. I took advantage of them. Find grants for female owned start ups.
This past year has taught me how resilient a lot of us, including myself, are. There have been so many losses, that all we should be counting on now, are the blessings. The dental field was greatly affected by Covid. The hesitancy for patients to come back is still there, but we will always need to have professional dental care.
I can do great, and provide honest and quality care to the people in the area of Bankers Hill, San Diego. I took over the office space of a practice that closed down. So far, it has been a lot of work getting it up and running. The term for this situation is called a Jump-Start Up practice.
I know I can’t do this alone! Ideally, I need at least one full-time registered dental assistant. As a start-up with limited funds, I need a loan or financial aid to make this happen. I also need funds to apply to marketing. The office did not come with a patient base, so marketing is important for me.
I have always loved the satisfaction of improving my patient’s oral health. Bringing back function and smiles is truly rewarding. The ability to continue doing that in my private practice is an ultimate dream that is coming to fruition. Thank you again!
