I started my transporting business in Chicago, Illinois in 2018. I transport bulk mail, caskets, furniture, express packages, and anything else you can think of. I started my business with someone who promised me the opportunity if I were to buy my own cargo van, they then switched their word and tried to get me for cheap labor. I quit and have been hustling ever since. I never knew what I wanted to do in life, but I always knew that every time I was backed into a corner I would overcome any challenge, so after quitting my jobs, I researched and reached out to all the people I met throughout my time with them and was able to accumulate a list of services I provide. I wake up every day with a different schedule and I truly do love what I do.
Jordan’s story
After college in 2016, I worked a corporate job for 1 year and realized I had more to offer to the world. I started to work for multiple entrepreneurs trying to obtain knowledge. Everything was going great until ironically both entrepreneurs’ partnerships went sour. After so many empty promises and overworking myself, I quit cold turkey with no backup plan. I was left with 2 car notes, rent, and no source of income. After months of struggling, I was able to accumulate multiple contracts, from delivering caskets, to express mail, even doing lawn care services from time to time. 2019 was the best year for me as it should be you can really make something out of nothing if you put your mind to it, as I became truly self-employed. I truly wake up with the energy to figure things out and to consistently learn and progress. The quote I live by would be “Where there’s a will, there’s a way”. I love knowing that the power of your fate is in your hands and you can succeed in anything if you apply it to yourself.
