I currently operate as a one-man crew for most jobs that I complete (inclusive of home interior drywall, flooring, bathroom renovations, and painting). Once I’m able to build out a team, I intend to expand my areas of work to include commercial jobs and additional renovation services. My vision is to offer on-the-job training and subsequent career opportunities to young men and women within the communities we most often serve (with an emphasis on minority hires).
Never has the discrepancy between the minority and non-minority unemployment rate been so blatantly apparent as it has been exposed to be during this current pandemic. It’s M&J Capital’s goal to do our part to remedy that locally and provide deserving youth with an opportunity to learn while they earn and to be a positive impact on an upward trajectory.
Hello, my name is Mark J. and I am the CEO of M&J Capital LLC based out of the Pittsburgh, PA area. Over the last few years, I have been working and learning as much as possible about the home renovation process which led me to branch out and start a company of my own. In doing so, I’ve learned that there are many young black men in the underprivileged neighborhoods we often serve seeking employment, yet lacking the skill set to obtain it. Through M&J Capital, I’d like to offer the opportunity to these young men to learn a new skill, earn gainful employment, and set them on a new trajectory towards stability and success.
