In 1976 Medals of America was created by Army Veteran Colonel Frank Foster and his wife Linda Foster; inspired by the hunt for his father’s WWII medals and contact with the French Government for a French Croix De Guerre Medal. After much request from their friends for shadow boxes for their Veteran relatives, Frank and Linda Foster were in business.
Medals of America is the premier source for military medals, badges, patches, challenge coins, rank, rates and insignia, as well as great military clothing. If you have someone on your list who is a veteran and you struggle to figure out what to get them. This is one company you need to check out.
Medals of America is the #1 source for official military medals, awards, ribbons, & display cases. Contact us: firstsergeant@usmedals.com or 864-862-0635.
Since then, Medals of America has expanded from a closet, to a room, to a basement, to a small office, and continued to grow until we reached an 80,000 square foot facility where we house our products, equipment, e-commerce and print teams, customer service call-center, wholesale department, and shipping and receiving docks.
With the growth of the work space came growth of the company. Lee Foster, CEO, is the second generation Foster at Medals of America, 9th generation Veteran, and has continued the time-honored tradition of families serving families. Since the company’s inception, MoA has a catalog circulation and an ever-growing social media presence. Through this growth and expansion, we still keep the veterans we serve at the core of our business.
Our mission will always remain the same: Honor the service, honor the sacrifice. Through our 40 years of service we strive to maintain our brand that honors and inspires active duty, retired, and veteran service members. We pride ourselves in creating and facilitating an online community through Facebook and Instagram where service members, their families, and anyone else can communicate freely about time served, memories, and share experiences. We started with a focus on perfecting the shadow box that soon developed into designing t-shirts, making hats, stamping dog tags, curating a collection of tactical and range gear, expanding our line of challenge coins, patches, clothing, and more.
We follow all ribbon, medal, and badge guidelines set by the Institute of Heraldry to ensure our customers integrity and the quality of our products. Our integrity lies with upholding the honor and valor of our nation’s veterans. To protect the integrity of our veterans and company, our medals are protected by the Stolen Valor Act. To purchase: Army Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross, Air Force Cross, Defense Distinguished Service Medal for Army, Navy-Marine, Air Force and Coast Guard, Distinguished Service Medal Department of Transportation, and Silver Star, we need proof of valor in the form of a DD-214 or any other documentation.
