We create vegan and gluten free treats that we ship directly to your front door.
I’ve always baked treats for my family and friends so when my dad got diabetes I felt somewhat responsible, knowing that I made a major contribution to his acquisition of the said disease. At the time that he was diagnosed, I was only a couple of years into my healthy food journey, but his condition motivated me to dig deeper. I started researching gluten-free recipes that used fruit sugars instead of the processed sugars that impair your health. I would share my findings on Twitter or Facebook from time to time, and my online community of fellow health-hunters showed interest in my products so I built an online storefront to accompany the sales I made to my local friends/family in my Houston community. Soon enough I was baking nonstop and my customers were loving the products because they tasted great despite being gluten-free and vegan. I enjoy my business because my products are fully functional and they taste great.
These treats are made from pure love, joy and concern for loved ones and we’re thankful that we get to share them with you. Mealsaps comes from the family last name Millsaps, so whenever you enjoy our creations you’re enjoying a piece of our family. We’re delighted that you decided to indulge in a bit of healthful decadence and we hope you come back for much, much more!
Jacqueline’s story
I went vegan in 2011 while living in my hometown Charlotte, and I realized the vegan options at the time were very slim so I started baking and cooking at home. In 2013, my dad got diabetes so I moved to Houston with him and started making all of his favorite treats with healthier ingredients. I would give the leftovers to friends and much to my delight, they began making formal requests for my sweet treats. I am no longer vegan, but my passion for plant-based foods was ignited over a decade ago. I love to see all of the healthful companies sprouting up as of late, and I plan to join the ranks of people who genuinely care about their health as well as their family’s health.
