We are a women’s clothing brand that focuses on ethically produced and sustainably sourced manufacturing to empower and equip at-risk women. Our business operates on an online platform. While working as a personal stylist, I began to see a gap between the women I was empowering, through styling, and the clothes I was helping them buy. I began asking questions like “who made these clothes?” and “Was she treated and paid fairly?” I found out the hard truth that there’s little protection and no accountability for garment workers. Poverty targets the world’s most vulnerable, which is women and children. We came up with a simple solution to provide fair living wages for the production of our clothing.
Each Lev design celebrates multiple body shapes encouraging women to feel beautiful in their own skin.
Lev believes empowered women empower women. We partner with Work + Shelter and Yoke Manufacturing for the ethical production of our clothing. Our partnerships create job opportunities for at-risk women living in the slums of New Delhi and Vietnam. When making a simple purchase, you are restoring hope, dignity, and freedom that creates a life-changing ripple for generations to come.
How many messages have you received that made you feel “you are not enough”? The beauty industry hooks us on a loop of comparison that never ends. We believe in a more real and honest approach. We understand that one design does not fit all. You deserve clothing that caters to your shape and anticipates how to make you feel confident in your own skin. Each design we produce is focused on celebrating and highlighting your best features so you can live your life to the fullest with purpose.
Stop Trafficking by Giving Work.
You want better. Better body positivity, better impact, better caring for others, better options. The number one reason human trafficking exists in the world today is poverty. According to the Global Slavery Index, 71% of all trafficking victims are female. When we use our purchasing power to buy products that offer fair wage dignified work to women it stops poverty and human trafficking in its tracks.
Women Empowering Women.
You are a force to be reckoned with. You hold the power in your hands to lift other women up. Together we have the resources to create the ultimate cycle in women empowering women. Each piece is designed to celebrate the female form while your purchase creates job opportunities for at-risk women living in New Delhi.
Through my experience as a personal stylist, I became an advocate for anti-human trafficking through organized efforts. My eyes were open to how the fashion industry exploits female garment workers when I discovered 85% of our clothes are made by women making less than $3.00/day. Extreme poverty puts women at higher risk of sex trafficking, domestic abuse, and slave labor.
Through Lev Apparel we get to create the ultimate cycle of women empowering women through purchasing power and job creation. Ending the cycle of poverty for generations to come.
