La Botica was created as my dream sanctuary, a farmacia of self-care. As a fine art photographer and dedicating my life to the museum industry, I rarely committed to my self-care but as an artist, I would use my art as my sanctuary – and as a result, I decided to lend my art to a new medium; fragrance and experience.
The Black, Latina owned La Botica is one of the many artist businesses we have on the site. Dawn Marie has also worked with other artists in the community to give back and help small businesses and startups with design, marketing, and other services. The delicate things that always elevated me, perfumed candles, bodysuits, ethical palo santo, and a bachata playlist was my ritual. Combining my experience in art direction and design with my Black and Afro-Dominican culture, La Botica took on it’s own identity as a chill space to escape and a collection of sustainable luxury pieces, for your own sanctuary.

Everything from our perfumed candles to our sustainably sourced palo santo are handcrafted, sustainably produced and made with vegan ingredients. We use a proprietary plant-based wax that is clean burning, and curated luxury fragrances that are evocative, sublime and cult-following worthy.
