Joyhound’s Founder and President, Alfred Rotimi, first became interested in brewing beer while in college studying Psychology – and it wasn’t in the way you’re thinking! Realizing all the biochemistry involved and the opportunities for experimentation, Alfred’s love of beer expanded beyond the typical college beer pong table. For years, while studying Neuroscience in a post bacc program at Tufts University, he poured his passion into home brewing before taking the entrepreneurial leap and establishing Joyhound with his family in 2017. His hope is that Joyhound customers are able to experience his same joy for beer with every sip and can appreciate the polished finish that is achieved due to his experience as a bench scientist!
