There are several original paintings and drawings available for purchase- the download-ables will have mention of their availability in the descriptions. I have pie-in-the-sky prices listed for the original oil paintings at this point. Please message me with your idea of a reasonable offer if you’re interested in a piece you see.
I’ve been making art since I was small, stopped throwing it away when I was in my late 20s, started making money at it in my early 30s [always with a day job], doing design work for The Grateful Dead, The Band, Mercury Rev, the Woodstock II festival, and myriad small businesses and charities, then I studied with two different American masters [years apart].
Mom and self-taught artist who designed for rock bands and later studied with two American masters. My work contains elements of abstraction and psychedelia, as well as reflections of my panentheistic spiritual leanings.
I have done drafting and presentation drawings for contractors, designed t-shirts for the Grateful Dead, The Band, and many others, done album covers and book covers, designed rooms and kitchens, done faux finishes and stage props, and my paintings and drawings are in private collections in 20+ US states, 6 European countries, China, South Africa, Japan, and Australia. I've shown and sold my work all over the place, including Chelsea, NYC and the ArtExpo at the Javitz Center. Currently working on a series of paintings of Vancouver, BC, and a book cover.
Yes. Private lessons in classical drawing and painting are available for $40/ two hour session for individuals, with a sliding scale for classes.
I can come to your area- do not have a venue at this time.
Currently, with Covid going on, I'm leaning towards doing pleine aire classes in parks. Seems to be the easiest most reasonable idea.
Generally I start more serious people with charcoals [stick, not pencil] as a bridge towards painting, but that's not in stone.
I can just as easily start youngsters [kids from the ages of 8 and up, please] with pencils and printing paper.
If you have three or more [up to ten] individuals, I will conduct a two-hour class for $15 per person, with a price cap of $75 [so if you have ten people in your class, you each pay 7.50].
I was classically trained by two American master painters and can provide insights and techniques that most people do not have.
Please email me [that's the best way to contact me] with "classes?" in the byline, and I'll happily work with your schedule.
I accept paypal and cash. Sorry, but with new associations here in Kansas, I've found that too many checks have bounced.
