J’enessence was born from a desire to launch a woman owned business focused on a natural product line to protect and treat the body in the best way possible. It was also born from a very challenging life story that inspired the founder to show others who might be in her position that even the toughest obstacles can be surmounted and turned into purposeful and meaningful life work. It is often asked about so here is her story.

Whatever you put on your skin, the largest organ of your body gets absorbed into your bloodstream. Our brand would love to help you detox your body healthily, physically, and mentally as well. Our products are handmade with natural, organic, and therapeutic ingredients. Our founder, me, has had an inspiring story too and I want to make this business successful in order to inspire others as well.

Hi, I’m Jenn. I’m a big believer in the Dress for Success organization has made a big difference in my life. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1986 when it was still a third-world country, as an American citizen. Growing up there has made me learn and appreciate the simple things in life and not take anything for granted. I’m thankful because it also made me a grounded individual with rooted morals, experiencing different cultures, religions, and races. I came to the U.S. and I was homeless in NYC at 16 years old for about 2 years and it has made me more determined than ever to be successful. I’m grateful that I was awarded the Seinfeld scholarship (yes Jerry Seinfeld and his family) in order to attend college; from there I wanted to grow and do more with my life. I am growing slowly and maturely and I’ve received great feedback and reviews. I’m at a point I will need some help to expand further. I’m hoping my products will bring healing (literally), joy, love, and blessings in the smallest ways, and put a therapeutic smile on someone’s face (physically and mentally); while nourishing your skin – the right way. I’m at a point I need to expand, this opportunity will truly help me a lot, and I hope I will reach my goal of 15k, I’m looking to expand in the hopes of hiring other unemployed and homeless people in the future one day.
