Find hand-made, warm and cozy blankets while simultaneously elevating the lives and communities of our micro-enterprise suppliers who are mostly located in remote rural areas of Ethiopia. They help micro-companies (whether in the US or overseas) access capital, get loans, and receive support for their business. There are also donations for local charities from the Eco Cotton Threads black owned business. They also support and have committed to give 1% of their sales to Food Rescue US in DC. Or find additional emergency funds from microlenders.
We provide a fair advantage of economic opportunities for our farmers, producers and their communities by paying adequately for their talent, skill and work. In addition, we aim to continue building a strong collaborative relationship with our suppliers and are committed to assisting with their development and growth.
Once the cotton has been picked and hand spun the weaving begins. This is the art of weaving on a traditional portable hand loom! It truly takes skill and talent that only gets perfected through years of experience.
