Cajun Fire Brewing company, is a family-owned business. It is the first black-owned brewing company in Louisiana and the south – also Cajun Fire is the fifth black owned – brewery in U.S. History.

Cajun Fire is an eco-friendly nanobrewery based out of New Orleans, Louisiana specializing in making unique craft beverage brews that appeal to the casual consumer as well as the initiated drinker at a fair economical price.

Cajun Fire, being a minority owned business, and the first brewery in Louisiana, used free government grants, mentoring, and assistance from both non-profits and the government to start. As Cajun Fire knew there were many resources out there for minority start up companies and they used them. Find the list of Louisiana small business grants and loans.

Brewed locally, Cajun Fire brews are created one barrel at a time in small batches; ensuring that our brews are always made fresh without preservatives or flavor-killing pasteurization.

We create our beers by combining traditional techniques with modern ingenuity and using fresh local ingredients from the Heart of Acadiana to the Greater New Orleans region.

We are in but the infant stage of our company but our vision is steadfast. Watch us grow!

The company was founded in New Orleans in 2011, and has been nationally recognized as a catalytic business that has tackled inequities within the craft beverage industry since inception. The company/LLC via its mission, “Brewing for socio-economic gains one pint at a time”, has created not only an increase in civic pride but also tangible accomplishments for many community-driven initiatives.

To date, the company has raised more than $500,000 for local philanthropies and non-profit organizations in the Orleans Parish community.Cajun Fire is under contractual agreement with Southern Eagle Distributors to introduce its products across eight parishes in South East Louisiana. Cajun Fire has a contractual agreement for Beltway Brewing Company (which is based out of Sterling, VA) to produce and ship flagship beers to Southern Eagle Distributors during the development of the brick and mortar facility. To date, my company has managed this with little to no outside capital support.

The most recent undertaking of the company is creating a sustainable economic opportunity for growth and manufacturing that also invests in a development project dubbed ‘The New Orleans East Cultural Hub’. Upon completion, this ten-acre commercial development will spur wealth creation, create sustainable high-wage jobs, increase civic pride, and drive food & beverage tourism to the New Orleans East Bullard Corridor. The project will cost 1.8 million dollars, I (Jon Renthrope) have full site control of ten acres of C-3 zoned commercial land.
