Then I Met You is rooted in the Korean concept of jeong, a deep and meaningful connection that encourages empathy and generosity. At Then I Met You, we are inspired by the Korean concept of jeong: a deep feeling of empathy and affection that one can develop for people, places and things. Built upon a foundation of altruism, generosity and collective social responsibility, jeong drives us to put others ahead of ourselves, give without expecting in return and choose the action that optimizes for the greater good of our communities.
In this age of distraction, as societies become more fragmented and individualized, we believe it’s time to go deeper. By adding a little extra effort in the right places, we believe you can spark meaningful, transformative moments in your life, and create lasting bonds with the people, places and things that matter most.

Just as cultivating jeong can lead to more empathy and generosity with others around us, it can also lead to a deeper understanding and caring for our environment. Given the urgency of climate change, it is our responsibility to look after our planet and reduce our consumption where possible. We commit to continue to incorporate sustainability considerations into all our business practices.
Currently, our paper and cardboard packaging is 100% recyclable and our product boxes are printed with soy ink. However, this is just the beginning as we evaluate how we can go even further.
